Introduction

Our Jack & the Beanstalk auditions are complete – and what an incredible couple of days they've been!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Ensemble auditions on Sunday 6 September and our Principal auditions on Tuesday 8 September. We were genuinely impressed by the talent, energy and enthusiasm we saw, and you've given our Creative Team some very difficult decisions to make.

We'll now be working on bringing together the company for our 2027 pantomime. Casting decisions will be emailed directly to auditionees, so please keep an eye on your inbox.

Thank you, too, to everyone in our Upstagers family who helped organise and run the auditions. We simply couldn't do it without you.

Jack & the Beanstalk takes to the King's Hall stage from 22–30 January 2027, with ten performances – and tickets are already on sale!

Performance venue

The show will be performed at Ilkley's beautiful King's Hall & Winter Garden. The venue is in the heart of Ilkley town centre, directly opposite the railway station.

Award-winning pantomime

Upstagers has a proud tradition of pantomime at the King's Hall, with our 2026 production of Snow White named Best Pantomime at the Wharfedale Festival of Theatre Awards – our eighth consecutive win.

We're looking forward to bringing all the spectacle, comedy and panto magic back to the King's Hall for Jack & the Beanstalk in January 2027.
